We were able to shoot off fireworks with the cousins at Grandma La Giusa's house the night of the 24th after we had a bar-be-que. The kids really enjoyed playing together, and Lydia had a chance to try on Kassandra's new toe shoes.
We took pictures with Chancel, Xavier and Lydia on Saturday. And then the kids spent some time playing while Tere and I had lunch with Tracey and Greg Wilkinson. Tracey is my friend since junior high, and we haven't seen each other since high school graduation. It was so much fun!
Sunday we went to see the Salt Lake City Bees play against the Portland Beavers. It was a double-header. And even though we didn't stay for the entire second game, the Bees won both! Jered managed to snag a homerun ball, too bad it was a run for the Beavers! He doesn't care! The Bees feed into the Angels, and that is one of Jered's favorite teams. Probably because the pitcher, Jered Weaver, spells his name the same way! It was a super way to spend a Sunday afternoon in Salt Lake City!
